I read this memoir in three days. An inspirational story of a rise from the ashes that will change many lives.

Wowza! The courage it took to share this story—every dark moment, every painful memory—is beyond words. The author turned her pain into power, and in doing so, gives hope to so many others who feel lost.
Sherry
The story is living proof that suffering is temporary and has purpose. When harnessed, it can lead to growth, redemption, and new life. The current Canadian medical system’s prescription of death via MAiD is not healthcare; it’s false compassion and exploitation of vulnerable people when they are at their weakest. I pray that this book is a wake-up call for our society and that it will inspire hope and a path forward for those in darkness. This story of recovery needs to be known far and wide.

Wow, I couldn’t put this book down. I love the honesty, vulnerability, and rawness the author expresses. This has made me realize how little I understand about the ‘black dog.’ Thank you for helping me understand, to be more observant, to listen more, and to be a better friend.
